1. Use a Home Water Test Kit
DIY water test kits are an easy way to check for common contaminants like:
Chlorine

Nitrates and bacteria
These kits are simple to use—just dip a strip into a water sample and compare it against the chart provided.

2. Use a TDS Meter
A Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) meter gives a quick snapshot of the number of dissolved particles in your water.
How to use: Dip the meter into a glass of water and check the reading.
Target range: Filtered water typically reads below 100 ppm.
This is a fast way to check if your system is reducing impurities effectively.
3. Test for Chlorine
If you're on mains water and using a carbon filter, chlorine should be reduced or removed entirely. Use a chlorine strip to see if your system is doing its job.
4. Send Your Water to a Lab
For complete peace of mind, especially if you're on tank or bore water, send a sample to a certified lab. Lab testing can detect:

Fluoride and other chemicals
